photonixFAB was pleased to support the Cross-Fertilization Workshop on High-Speed Optical Modulators, organized by ePIXfab – the European Silicon Photonics Alliance.
Held on 11–12 June 2026 at iGent in Ghent, Belgium, the two-day event brought together leading experts from across the photonics ecosystem, including representatives from foundries, technology platforms, research and technology organizations (RTOs), industry, and academia.
Exploring Advances in Optical Modulation
The workshop provided a dedicated forum for discussing the latest developments in high-speed optical modulator technologies. Through a series of technical presentations and expert discussions, participants explored topics including:
- Modulator platforms and design
- Heterogeneous integration
- Modelling and simulation
- Characterization and packaging
- Emerging applications and future perspectives
The event fostered valuable exchanges across the photonics value chain, connecting specialists in design, fabrication, electro-optic characterization, and application development. It offered attendees an opportunity to share knowledge, discuss technological challenges, and explore future collaboration opportunities.
